Man you just gotta stay active on here because good deals get scooped up quick. As of what motor you need depends on your boat and what your intentions are. I am personally a Prodrive fan because of full power reverse. What kind of boat do you have? If it's riveted or has horizontal bracing it ain't worth a shit. Surface drive are faster and easier to drive but long tails will go threw way thicker shit. If you want a boat for huntin and playing go with a surface drive. As to which is best, that is a ford chevy dodge debate and you can search the topic there is literally hundreds of post about it

I live in mobile and the delta here is pretty open except all of the good fishing holes and they're hard to get in. I really just want one bc they are fun as hell and can go anywhere. I'd like the one with reverse too and something above 25 hp bc i have a 17ft boat with a short transom.

Prodrive reverse takes the longest to put into reverse. But normally time is not a factor when I need reverse. I prefer the power of the reverse rather than how quickly I can engage it

LOL.....Chad, looks like i got you hooked on the mud boats. I hope you find one man. I about to upgrade already. I found out quick their like motorcycles..Got a Small Mud Motor, and now I want bigger. Screw reverse man, thats why beer and pushpoles were made. I'll be home on leave soon again. So we'll have to explore again....crazy where these damn boats will take you.
