If it's an attempt one would have reasonable belief that successful completion is not guaranteed. Just sayin'. |

Of 113 that have attempted, only 19 made it to ranger school, and all washed out in the first two weeks. Valerie Jarret and crowd are not going to take no for an answer on it though, and they sent three back to recycle. They will drag at least one across the finish line, so feminists can celebrate. It is all a giant tax payer waste of money, and it has nothing to do with raising the lethality of our military or fighting and winning wars. It is just PC nonsense that will weaken our Army |

As the father of two daughters who have excelled in education and life, I resent the notion that they cannot do somthing simply because they are women. They've both experienced the "good ole boy" engineering network and called out employers for that and as a result they were both commended and promoted above their male supervisors. Do any of you watch Ninja Warriiors? The women on there are just as physical and strong as their male counterparts, and in some cases, much more agile. I don't doubt there are women coming down the pike in the military who will eventually complete Ranger requirements without modification. |

What happens if and when they get captured? They will get raped and tortured horribly. I mean look at how muslims treat their own women. What type of parent would want this for their daughter? |

You can resent whatever notions all you want, but in your original post you proved you have your doubts, too. Refer to post #5. |

I thought only certain jobs were available to women in the armed forces. Like in the Marines they can only be nurses mechanics or paper pushers Sent from...wait, Where am I? |

I think a quick fix to all this women in the military would be requiring all women 18+ to register with the selective service. The general public would be outraged. LA national Guard -Iraqi Freedom 31U- played playstation for 11 months in the desert. |

Dguidry, have you ever served in a combat arm section on our military? Men would be more willing to jeopardize the mission in order to protect a female. One must remember the primary goal of our military is to win our nation's wars. If feelings get hurt in the process oh well. That is the least of my worries. |

I used to fly a Ranger flag from time to time when I was at the lake to reminisce about old times. I took it down and threw it away. PC culture has surely hurt the Army. I feel bad for the boys now... |
