We won't have to listen to that bitch Nancy Pelosi or look at her man face on TV all the time.... I'm still not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and hoping its not going to be the headlamp of an oncoming train but things are looking up for the white man... |

What I'm sayin is if we don't offer competitive pay and benefits how can we expect to attract da highest qualified people for da job. If we have these kind of shit heads now imagine how worst it would be if we only paid dem $20,000 a year. |

One other theng QC, we both know that these people in office are either rich, have businesses and whatnot. So, it's a service to our country to be in those positions. They should not be paid any more than say our soldiers. And we know how much they are rolling in the dough.(sarcastic) |

I think term limits would be a better solution than cuttin pay and benefits. That and havin to pass an I.Q. test to be able to vote. |

I agree, that elected positions should not be careers like it's become. Our founding fathers must be rolling over in their graves. Next amendment to our great constitution should be......any bill can only be one issue. That automatically cuts out all b.s. pork barrel spending that currently gets tacked onto bills. That also gives us a true voting record on every member of congress. Next, term limits for everyone, two at the most. Or better yet, two at the most, but they can't be consecutive. That way, while in office, they will focus on doing their job instead of focussing on buying votes for their reelection. Right now there is so much waste because government has grown too big, time to start cutting back agencies/departments. Make the government accountable for every dollar spent. Right now, about 25% is unaccountable. If publicly traded companies ran that way, at the very least, the execs would be out of jobs and maybe in legal trouble. Why isn't Congress (and state legislature) accountable? Cut foreign aid. Half these people hate us. Make the rest of the U.N. carry their share of the load, or charge them big money for being the muscle. Remove crooked judges, like when the voters in California did something right and voted down giving benefits to illegal immigrants, and the judge overturned the voice of the people. No wonder California has major budget issues. Allow media or any person that has influence on others (especially elected official a celebrities) the freedom of speech, but fine them out the ass for any false statements. Yes we have the freedom, but with that comes responsibility. They seem to have forgotten that. Assholes. Example, the media/politicians calling big business bad and bad mouthing the "record profits" of oil companies. These companies didn't get founded as charities and they are entitled to earn profits. The Reason they have record profits is simple, we are record consumers. The politicians/media conveniently leave out the point that the government makes more on gas taxes then the oil company makes on that gallon of gas. What's wrong with that picture? Government has no risk, does no work and earns more than the company taking risk and doing all the work. Our jerk governor calls illegal immigrants..."new Americans" wtf? We must have some sort of voter qualifications, and must have photo ID required to vote. Voter fraud has to end now! And that's just a start. Okay, what do think about that? |

Yep,and the gas tax rates are easy to find and verify. The typical liberal uses emotional based arguments and calls the typical conservative a liar for using true facts for the basis of their arguments. Typical conservative says, stop trying to control my life, leave me alone and I'll leave you alone. I have my opinion and you have yours. Typical liberal says, I have my opinion and I'll try to force you to live by it, after all I know more about how you should live than you do. And there is no way you can think for yourself, so here is what you should think. We should all contact our elected officials on a routine basis and remind them that they are our employees. |
