Nope, no head explosion here, especially in light of anything Robertson says or thinks.

Regardless of who thinks the Bible to be out of vogue, funny, or behind times, I still believe. I believe it from cover to cover, and I even believe the cover. My cover says "Holy Bible". Holy meaning that God sees sin, and that man needs a covering of sorts to hide that sin.

The age of the earth is not something I get all in a tizzy over. A God so powerful to create an entire universe, and every living creature, can make that earth be whatever age he wanted. He did not create Adam as a baby, so I guess he could have created a mature earth.

This I know, Israel is just where God told us it would be. Man acts in the nature that the Bible tells us he will. Prophecy concerning Jesus came to fruition.

So all and all, I do not give a flip of a wood nickel concerning anything from the mouth of Robertson. I am satisfied to open up that 1611 King James Version and read it. It has more wisdom than Robertson and his kind can ever imagine.

RangerP: I do admire you for your strong beliefs, but why don't you just keep them to yourself and your family. Leave it to the clergy to spread your message. Are you compelled by some calling to profess your faith in public so much? Just let everyone believe what they want. That's a principal on which our country was founded and for which you fight. If a rock is hard and I believe it to be please don't argue it's soft because the bible says otherwise. Touch and feel it for yourself.

Dguidry - your question - "I do admire you for your strong beliefs, but why don't you just keep them to yourself and your family. Leave it to the clergy to spread your message. Are you compelled by some calling to profess your faith in public so much"

Awsome question, glad you asked.

I would say it is about like standing on the deck of your boat with a life preserver, and having a drowning man ten yards from the boat. Would you keep that life preserver to yourself, or would you throw it to him?

Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

if dguidry was drowning 10 yards off the bow of my boat and i was sitting on a throw cushion, with a lifejacket on,and a ring buoy in ma hand ......id prolly pull ahead 10 yards and drop the anchor on his head. 8-)

Dean Guidry - I think Cajun was joking about dropping the anchor on your head (I hope). Fear not though, Ranger would do his best to save you. If I was 500 yards away, the water had ice on the edges and I was on the shore, I would swim out to you. If in doing so, I drowned, and you had to paddle to shore using my dead body as a flotation device, it would be worth the cost. My future is secure, yours... not so much.

This I know. If I was able to save you, it would only be for a while and your end would still come. I know someone that did sacrifice their life for you, and when he saves you, it is for eternity.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

ranger,im a backslider...forgiveness is a big big prob for me.
i know i will regret it one day,im workin on it...
honestly,id pull him in the boat.......then id hit him in the head with the anchor.
and if he kept his mouth shut all the way back to the dock,he might make it there alive.
i wont lie about it. lol.

Cajun - you hurt me with that one. Ole Ranger had catifsh and hushpuppies for his 44th birthday tonight, and I laughed so hard, I thought they would come back up.

Idacraw - I love you to. I would swim out to you also. You being a Marine, I would bet you could outswim me though.

Dean Guidry- When I retire in the not so far off future, I will come down and hunt with you. After retirement, I will not have to worry about you reporting me to the pentagon for my conservative views.

Rangerp, you my friend are a true Hero in every sense of the word. Not only have you served our country honorably, but you defend our Creator and point others to Him. I admire the heck out of you for that. We need a lot more men like you.

Your political and religious views are spot on. And never once have I heard you belittle anyone in defending your beliefs. You really have a gift of effectively communicating your message in down to earth, simple terms.

If you ever make it up to North Texas, look me up. It would be an honor to meet you. God Bless you, my brother!

ranger,im not good with words,i suffer from whatever craig mentioned yesterday.......
."..Vulgarity is the crutch of the intellectually crippled."
i copied that from him.
i would also like to copy from full throtle....

Well said Ranger and thank you for your service.
These verses say it all.
1 Corinthians 1:20-27 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
