OK - Got a "green planet" question As part of the Cash For Clunkers program these old cars are being administered “Clunker bomb” - sodium silicate which kills off the engine in a few seconds. The MSDS on this looks scarry, especially since it is being administered by untrained people nationwide. Anyone know what the recycling plan is for this substance after the trade ? Or what the health and environmental risks are ? |

That's why the frist billion was spent so fast. Most of it went to the company that makes the stuff and the rest went to the place that cleans up the mess. Probably had about a million +/- left for the actual program. Typical under the glass table stuff. Legally paying off the people at the top... |
