Trump's stance on immigration and minorities in general is a affront to all Cajuns who were the very first immigrants to North America. As difficult as the struggle is today to preserve our culture and language, we do not need nor want his ilk as president. Any Cajun or minority who gives a damn about his heritage should not support him and affirmatively denounce him. |

Typical. Make it about race. Forgive my ignorance but aren't Cajuns white? I've never seen Cajun as a race option on any document I've ever filled out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So totally ignoring the process of law that is in place to legally become a citizen, or abusing the system to gain citizenship is the same thing to you as when Cajuns settled here? |

If they are here legally, there is nothing wrong with that. We already have policies on how to become an American citizen. Follow those rules and you will be welcomed! |

It's not about worthiness, or how you were expelled from wherever. It's about there is an actual law that says this is the process for coming here and getting citizenship legally. A person's unwillingness to undertake that process does not make it OK to hop a border, stay here a few years, then be entitled to legal status as a citizen, |

I find it funny how much they want to rule and regulate things, except when the minority vote is on the line. Create racial division, cater to the minority's and win their vote. "There should be no rules against letting in new minority democratic voters" so sayeth the left. If the minorities voted conservative then the dems would be all for a closed border. Post subject: | Re: Donald Trump and Cajuns |
There is a legal process. Plain and simple. I have no problem telling someone that, and have. I have served with a few immigrants from various parts of the world that went through the legal process for citizenship. They think its wrong to skip the system, too. To not follow the process is ILLEGAL. Make those that didn't, go back to their original home, then go through that process. Rewarding someone for breaking the law is asinine, and it's getting really old to have to witness individuals like you think it's ok. It's quite disappointing to watch the culture of this country change in ways that make things like this ok. |

This is definitely your most pathetic attempt at trying to talk bad about Trump. First off I think you need a history lesson of you own culture. The Acadians came to Louisiana by majority of Spain's own doing. They were brought down to South Louisiana by Spain when Spain OWNED Louisiana. They broke absolutely no laws coming here and were brought by people that owned the piece of land they were going to. We have an immigration system, although it is in desperate need of repair, it is still a system and it is the law. The Mexican's came here ILLEGALLY and they broke the law so they should be sent back. It hurts our economy and the American's pocketbook for every one of them that come over that border illegally and get on any kind of government assistance. And the "anchor babies" also are illegal, they are of illegal immigrants and should also be considered illegal and sent right back after birth. You want in, apply for it. Most legal immigrants should side strongly with Trump on this because all of the negatives of illegal immigration makes them look bad also. We can't just pick and chose what laws to enforce, they came here illegally so they should be sent right back to where they came from. |

I figured out why dean is so scared. Obama basically gave his endorsement to biden. The democrats have a horrible field of candidates. An old socialist, an old socialist ex hippie bitch, and now crazy uncle joe. Looks worse than the 2008 GOP field. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The Mexican guys that helped build my house can't stand the illegals and the amnesty bill. They say that they've spent years and thousands of dollars trying to do the right thing, just for some border jumper to have essentially the same rights. I was amazed at the things they said about their own family members that come here illegally. It just goes to show that the dems don't have all of the Latino vote, although I'm sure they have a majority of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Democrat liberal speak= illegals will be voters. The democrat party is the biggest vote buying scheme ever created. They will assimilate the illegals of every national origin on to the democrat plantation. Then they will vote for more government cheese so they will never have to work. Example: The black family. What LBJ and the democrat party did to the black family in America is nothing short of immoral. Remember the original racists? The democrat party. |

I work with legal mexican immigrants and illegal mexican immigrants. The legals have sympathy for the illegals. Coincidentally all the legals are older guys. They say there's so many illegals because it's 10x harder to get a visa or green card these days. For what it's worth. That's just what my mexicans say. Sent from...wait, Where am I? |

Dean, We were deported out of Acadie because the British stole our land and houses because they wanted our property for themselves. We were legally there. This is about something different. The illegals in this country are just that, illegally here. Under Trump, they must be deported, then they can apply to come in as a guest worker that is trackable. I agree with that. We should cut off all services to illegals. Except for saving their lives in an emergency. Cut off schooling, jobs, medical, driving, financial, welfare, and everything they can do. If they are caught in some sort of traffic stop, they get flown back to their country. They will soon deport themselves on their own. |

I was using the Acadian history of mass deportation as an example of how mass deportation of Mexican Americans born in our country would be cruel. |

I just seen that Mexico is charging $20 for an American citizen to cross the border. It is a Border pass so they can keep track of who is going into there country. You also need a passport. |

Illegal Immigrants that have committed heinous crimes and everyone for that matter should be subject to firing squad. Bullets and a backhoe operators time are cheaper than deportation or prison Sent from...wait, Where am I? |
