We have been kicking around the design for my son's room for a while. Well over the T-giving holidays, he decided he wanted camo. Not your basic camo. Realtree Max-4. Well after going back and for on how the hell we were going to do the painting, I decide to use fabric. We couldn't find anything local so I went online. Found that Realtree will actually sell you thier fabric by the yard. It was actually cheaper than other sites that carried it. So I made the order for 17yards. The pattern was the wrong way, so we cut 50" long pieces and had my MIL sew each panel side to side, with everything in the right direction. After folding 2 inches and tacking it to the wall, it would just hang. we added batting behind it and pulled it tight to the floor then added the baseboards back. I then made a top rail from corner molding. Curtains will be made from the remaing fabric. Also the wife made the pin-board above the desk. She also wrapped his garbage basket, and added the material to the matte in the picture(the on without anything in it). He wants to get a good picture of our dog to put in it. The pictures of ducks are old pictures that I had growing up. The one with the woodies has a custom cypress frame made from an old water systren(sp?).
And he will be buying the bedding stuff from cabela's in the same pattern after xmas.

The end result came out very nice. What you guys think?

He will never leave his room....drums, guitar, duck hunting pictures, internet, central air and heat. You should rough him up a bit. Great job on the decorations. Just turned our formal living room into an entertainment center all done by my son...drywall, painting, curtains, molding, demo. He did a great job, and we can all appreciate how hard it is to get something looking as nice as your son's room.

One plus is that he is 16. Hopefully at 18 I can kick him out into the real wolrd. Then this will become MY room with a couple camo Lay-z-Boys and a BIGGER flatscreen.

I'm guessing you mean trimming? If so it's strips of corner moulding from lowes. I'll try to get a sketch of how I did it for you.
