 Re: Booie in da Dome
cypress, Believe it or not we ran pretty much neck and neck. the GTR probably was hooked to my bow more than my PD was hooked to his. Do to the fact I don't like to keep my boat in the water for very long! lol
But the truth is your compairing 2 different motors on 2 different boats. a true test would be to run each motor on the same hull. the PD had the advantage in reverse, but I found that the GTR was better in the thick veggies and seaweed covered mud with the smaller skeg.
Go test drive em Myboy! A heck of a lot ah duckies to drop not too!

 Re: Booie in da Dome
I have rode in all of them. I find gator tail does better in the hard stuff ( running in it and getting on step in it) but both of them have there goods and bads. Hell show me a motor that does not break and I will show you one thats not made yet, Even go devil surface drive is good but it does not have reverse. To make a long story short I bought a 36hp Pro-Drive. Peace Out

 Re: Booie in da Dome
I would have never thought a plywood boat would do that. Nice job dude, I got them pics of the old wooden skiff, if I get a minute I'll post 'em.

 Re: Booie in da Dome
Something you fellas are missing the plywood boat has fiberglass on the botom of it.Which makes it a lot stronger than what you think.
