i got the handle and sheath made by a welder. its just 3/4 of a square tube with flanges thats just a bit bigger than the handle tube. did have to go through hull though. appreciate the comments. popped a couple rivets recently which has been a pain. also since i took out the front deck there is some twist and vibration in the hull which can be loud.

Hey there,

Just found this site.......................and your boat is exactly what I bought. All the mods had been done before I got it and it looks a lot like yours but the deck was left up front. It has hydro-turf on it. Now I am looking at getting a mud motor. I run in the river a lot with sand and rocks so I am thinking a long tail, and the LT price are hard to beat.

Anyway with your set up there, can you run 3 guys okay? I really want to be able to run 3 guys and gear!!!

yea it runs 3 guys with gear at around 12-13 mph. its a great set up. i need a new prop but the 27 is a damn workhorse. i am really happy with the setup. im actually about to build a front deck for it. could you post or email me a picture of your setup? i wanna put fuel and battery forward so itll plane with only me in there. harbday@gmail

Here are some other pics the guy sent me...........that is good to hear, that your 27 hp will push 3 guys just fine. I think i am getting a 25 hp so it should be pretty much the same.
