That truck needs about 4" more lift & 38's under it... Lockers F&R would have helped. Whose winching that?

Flex it in a ditch I bet the first wheel to come off the ground will spin and the one touching will not. Lockers pull ALL THE TIME.

Ill play... Toyota on 38's

3.slow =( its on the way out. Used to be able to turn the 38's well with the 5.29 gears, But since I added the Dual transfer cases the parasitic loss and 213k miles is catching up with it. It lacks the Horsepower.

305/327 or 350 all are fairly straight forward swaps. Is your pumpkin on the front axle a passenger side drop? Atlas T.C.?

Small Block for sure your are limited in space with most Toys

I've passed in some ditches and never had it free wheel. thought I was fuked, ditch was a lil soft. don't lnow what it is about my lil black, just wish I could afford to do more to it (performance) wise that is. fuking lift kits are expensive, was looking for a front straight axle conversion kit.

I've been working at a chevy dealer for almost 22 yrs, I know a lil about it. when I replaced the gears the front was open (no locker) the rear has a posi unit. I have pulled on several things, got stuck twice. Second time is the picture (tires where bald) hit a big hole past my knees & centered the truck, towing a boat did not help either. but anyways which it had more that the 4.3 V6 it has now. but that's another story, wanting a mm rig now with no $$$$$$$

I would have saved a sh!t load of money by purchasing a MM rig back in the day rather than trying to mud my Toy. Let's see...

4" Lift, 33" Tires, Detroit Locker, custom front bumper, winch mounts, 4.88 gears, crawl kit, extended travel kit, removed sway bar since it was no longer a grocery getter... commenced to blow the engine, twice! Rebuilt it and bored it over .040 or is it .004 forget which lol...

Anyways it was a beast. Bought it for $10K sold it for $12500

When I get the want to mechanic on it again it will put some sort of GM LS engine, 4l60e or 4l80e trans, and a Np241 passenger side with VSS. I have a passenger drop axle, But once i upgrade to aV8 I will get away with toyota axles for a while, then I will want 1 Ton axles!
