Thats what I'm talking about. I got a 200 yamaha four stroke on my plateboat with a 19 pitch gettting 55mph. What pitch was you running at the first posted speed? I thought about getting a summer/fun prop and let her eat. I was driving my rig with stick steering and that is kinda scarey going that fast. I got the seastar pro hydro steering now and I want to go faster. I seen some partial pics of mean machine pulling out the turtle and thought to myself that I need to see some more pics of her. thanks Netman |

I ran a 17pitch, a 19, two different 25's and a 27. My motor has a 6200 rpm rev limiter. Only gps'd the two 25 pitch and the 27. 25p Lazer II - 62mph @ 6200rpm 25p Yamaha (25M) with slight work - 70.1 @ 6200rpm 27p Tempest - 76 @ 6000rpm. I usually run the 25 LazerII. Its my beat around wheel. Use it for haulin loads and all around. I try to keep the others in good shape for summer time fun. Thats deffinately faster than ya want to go in a 20' skiff. I think I have a pic somewhere on here of it running 70. Kind of a distant shot of it but thats all I have so far other than one at the sandbar with the windshield on it. Im gonna get some action shots and post em. |

This was the one before that one. Looked better but ran slower. The motor was strong but the boat just wasnt built to run. Originally had a 90 merc on it. |

I'm going to get me a summer prop for my boat. With the 19 pitch I have hit 55 mph gps'd. At the time that was really fast but now that I have ran the rig alot more I feel the need for more speed. I put out alot of tackle recently and my boat was loaded very heavy and she ran really good. Now that I am running nets every day with a small amount of gear in the boat I run her pretty hard. I am going to get a jack plate for her too and know I will get more speed with just that. Tenpoint I really like your boat. |

Never tried any other props than what I posted. I show off from time to time and play with some bass boats. Talk about get some funny looks when you pull up along side a bass boat thats rolling out on the pad with the big rooster tail and all. Cruise up along side em and wave at em in an aluminum skiff. LOL. Its pretty fast but there are plenty boats around here that I wont mess with. |

That four blade I got might help you out some. the extra blade makes a significant difference when on top. Its a lot more stable running. but it is slower out the hole. next time i'm down that way i'll bring it and let you run it if you want. |

go get'r what size/brand motor you have on your bassboat? My mind set is llike tenpoints. I have a 24' alum commercial fishing boat that I would like a summer prop for. There are some guys in bassboats that fish for sauger that blow all the small boats off the water and I am willing to step up and take them on. My boat runs 55 mph as of yesterday gps with a Power tech 19 pitch. I too would like to run along side them with my muddy bloody stinky plateboat. |

go get'er thanks for the response. After winter fishing season I am going to get busy with a go fast prop. I have been asking around for some props to test out. There are alot of Merc props out there to test but unsure if they will fit my Yamaha. I would like to test props without changing the hubs. Randy |

I am fishing my life away. I am so far behind on orders [which is good] I have yet to mess with the prop. I have located a couple 23 pitch props to try its that when I'm on the water I am stock piling fish. The Ohio is going to 41+ feet from 17'. The river is running hard and dirty right now. You La guys will be seeing lots and lots of water very soon. go get'r its on my to do list. We have some summer Ski Days on the Ohio and I plan to have the boat prop'd up for that. |
