 Re: 18hp copperhead
Congrats on your new 18. I bought mine in Sept. 2011. Ran it on my custom 16X38 slick bottom. With a full hunting load, two guys 200lbs each, a 90lbs. lab and all gear, boat weights 420 lbs. i would average 18mph. With myself I can get up to 23 mph. That is all stock. With your wider bottom you should get better speeds than me. I did notice that after about 20 hrs. the bracket that holds the choke in place gets weak and when your running it vibrates loose causing the choke to open up and the engine with bog down. I contacted Gil at Copperhead and he said he has a solution for this. I will post it once he tells me how to fix that.
Enjoy!!!!!

 Re: 18hp copperhead
What sort of speeds did you get on your boat with your new copperhead?
