Phuck that!!! I was teal hunting one morning this year and ran the boat up on a hard patch of mud... Stuck bad. It was only like 200 more yards to the blind so we just walked the rest. Got back after the hunt to push the boat back to water and there was a cottonmouth mashed dead between the hull and a log, bout shit when I saw him 1' from my leg. |

So you put the trailer in the water to recover the boat, got in the boat and drove it on and the snake was in the water and on the bunk and you smushed him into the bunk and pulled out of the water? Does that sound right? Wow, strange. |

Just seeing this post and I finally have something to say. I was fishing in my bateau a couple of years ago on the amite. I just got the boat and was trolling around. I lost my bearings and ran right into a low hanging willow tree branch. I hear a thump and look down and in between my legs there was a three foot cotton mouth. I said oh chit. Thankfully, it had the same reaction and moved straight for the bow and off the edge. Not particularly my smartest decision. Definitely a close one. |

I got another one, this ones not as scary but I about messed my pants. Anyways, my buddy and I were walking a creek just jerking the perch. I got hung up on a root and went to go free it. I heard some rustling next to me and see a nice size water snake. Idk if it was venomous or not, I got out of there. My buddy got his judge and shot it. I told him to hold it and it got the death rattles. He freaks out and throws it. Towards me. I yell and cuss at him. Not exactly what you want when you're standing knee deep in water. Fun times. |
