I usually trailer mine on the boat.

Nah, seriously tho, depends on what yr, and model it is. The newer models have "trailering brackets" that make it a lil easier on ya. The older "Hyper Drive" models had to be tied down like a lt.

I use the travel lock on mine and I also put a ratchet strap around the rear housing and conect it to the boat to keep it from bouncing

Instead of the strap, i cut a piece of 1/2 plywood about 3"x 9" that i put into the bottom of the trim track when trailering. Trim up until it puts enough tension not to bounce.

Use travel lock with pin in it, trim down to apply some pressure and drive.

I do use ratchet straps from skeg to transom tie downs if I know I will be on a really rough road or if I am travelling a really long distance. Not really needed (depending on your boat) but a habit.

Well it's a 03 hyper drive 29 horse..it looks like there is a bracket for a trailering option but don't think it has it.where would the lock pin be located any pictures of it?the transom on the boat isn't the strongest either motor is a little heavy for boat need to replace wood and stiffen it up. am worried about all the weight bouncing when driving.

I was talking about the travel lock on the newer motors. I don't think MB made a SD in '03.
