 Re: Mud buddy hyper trailering
I usually trailer mine on the boat. Nah, seriously tho, depends on what yr, and model it is. The newer models have "trailering brackets" that make it a lil easier on ya. The older "Hyper Drive" models had to be tied down like a lt.

 Re: Mud buddy hyper trailering
I use the travel lock on mine and I also put a ratchet strap around the rear housing and conect it to the boat to keep it from bouncing

 Re: Mud buddy hyper trailering
Instead of the strap, i cut a piece of 1/2 plywood about 3"x 9" that i put into the bottom of the trim track when trailering. Trim up until it puts enough tension not to bounce.

 Re: Mud buddy hyper trailering
Use travel lock with pin in it, trim down to apply some pressure and drive.
I do use ratchet straps from skeg to transom tie downs if I know I will be on a really rough road or if I am travelling a really long distance. Not really needed (depending on your boat) but a habit.

 Re: Mud buddy hyper trailering
Well it's a 03 hyper drive 29 horse..it looks like there is a bracket for a trailering option but don't think it has it.where would the lock pin be located any pictures of it?the transom on the boat isn't the strongest either motor is a little heavy for boat need to replace wood and stiffen it up. am worried about all the weight bouncing when driving.

 Re: Mud buddy hyper trailering
I was talking about the travel lock on the newer motors. I don't think MB made a SD in '03.
