Guys i have a older model 20 hp go devil long tail i bought today and i want to put it on a 14 foot boat i have to run in the marsh will i be okay doing that the boat is 14 foot long 36" at the bottom and 52 at the top.

I used to run the same setup. It will work. I was always gonna get pods but got a new boat and motor instead. move gas and battery up front and run it

thanks elmerfudd i thought if i just stuck my buddy up front i would be fine i was getting worried cuss on the trailer it wants to pop up in the front and i was hoping it wouldn't do that in the water as well.

Elmerfudd did you have any problems running that set up

Well it rode ass heavy there is no doubt about that but it worked. As far as I know the guy I sold it to is still runnin it as is. I was gonna put pods on the boat but bought bigger boat instead. I had a very light pop up blind on the boat I am sure that helped. Watch how much gear you are runnin with We always took the bare bones. Now with the new boat we are a little more comfy

I run a 23 hp gdlt on a 14/48 and it's fine put the tank ip front for sure and make your buddy sit in the middle if you get to much weight up front you will be eating every wake that comes along trust me I know.

We went out today i got 18.6 out of it with the tank in the back and 2 210 pound people in it. We were marsh jumping and having a good time we went across one mud flat most fun i had in my life.
