any idea on what a used 25hp kohler is worth(engine only)?

 any idea on what a used 25hp kohler is worth(engine only)? I have a 2000 Kohler Command 25hp on a longtail. it has approx 150-200 hours on it. the frame is a home made frame, and it is trashed, but the power head is good still and runs great.
anyways, a friend of mine wants to buy it, and then put it on a new frame. I have no idea what that motor is worth though.
i was thinking in the 400-500 range. is that high or low?
