Need some advice on a boat

 Need some advice on a boat I have a 27hpsd Go-devil motor that will go on the boat.
I am looking at the go devil boats but also considering the phowler boats. This boat will be ruining a small river majority of the time with gear, dog, and one other person maybe 3 people. I do not want a barge at all. I looking at the 16 48 go devil but would possibly go up to a 17 but nothing larger.
I want to atleast get 25 with a load.
Please help!!

Re: Need some advice on a boat Get a bigger motor if you want to hit 25. Also wider boats carry a load better. A 48 is going to run a lot better empty.
