 Re: Help
Ok got the 36 pro drive put on my g3 1652. I bought it used,so I took it out for the first time and coudnt get it to plane out the boat. I took the motor back to the dealer and he said that it should run good on the boat. We looked at the prop and it was wore out,so put on a another one off of a used motor that was a lot better and it is a lot better. Got 24 mph out of it,is this what I should expect or should it get more

 Re: Help
I would think you could run a lil faster than that, but it is a heavy hull designed for an outboard. Get some stick time, play with the weight in the boat, and the trim. You may have a couple mph hidden somewhere, but probably not much more than that.
Wonder how it will do when you load it down for hunting...

 Re: Help
I did read the post to my question. I did try it out before buying, for i have the right to take it back. I am happy with what it is doing, just asking some of you (pro's) if i should get more. Thanks to all who gave helpfull advice and to those who are negative sorry you read my post.
I am a believer in longtails, and have had both. The longtails will go where these fast surface drives wont. Speed isn't my most concern, but i like the easy use and control of these motors. I have never had a surface drive this big so just wanting some expert advice.
