 Gps mount
I've seen some boats with the gps mounted to the grab bar, and I was wondering what kind of mounts you guys are using. I've looked at the Ram mounts but their about $65. Looking for something alittle cheaper. My grab bar is 1.5" in diameter. Any help would be great.

 Re: Gps mount
if your grab bar is a loop then put a piece of alum. between the two tubes and mount your gps to it.

 Re: Gps mount
You should be able to pick a RAM mount up cheaper than $65. Search Ebay.

 Re: Gps mount
This is the ram mount I use 35 plus shipping. http://www.expressmounts.com/ram-mount- ... mount.htmlI like the attachment better than the one farrel has. He turned me on to express mounts but I got a better one.

 Re: Gps mount
You can get one of the handlebar mounts for the Garmin for ~$35. Just leave off the U bracket and screw it right to the grab bar.
I modified the Ubolt to fit mine but would just screw it in like the one above if I did it again. I added an S-Biner clip to attach the lanyard (just in case since mine doesn't float) but its never come in to play.

 Re: Gps mount
Go buy a RAM mount. Comes with all different types of prongs to hold different GPS's. Works very well. After a hunt, I accidentally left my GPS in it and drove an hour home on the highway. Got home, still there. Works well.
