 Prodrive reverse and clutch
Anyone ever had to un seize the reverse on a prodrive? Its stuck in forward and been sitting since last hunting season. Tried spraying a bunch of wd and also shot a bunch of grease in but it still seems locked up. Do I have to take the power head off or are there any easy tricks?
Also the clutch seems to engage and disengage but for some reason it desengages when the motor is idling but if you rev the motor it re engages itself. Any ideas here?
BTW, don't leave one of these sitting in the same parking spot as it was in on the last day of the previous hunting season and never do anything with it. They sometimes need some TLC.

 Re: Prodrive reverse and clutch
Mine seized up on me once and had to be taken apart. I now make it a point to put it in reverse every so often and shoot it with grease.

 Re: Prodrive reverse and clutch
I have come to the conclusion that it is a good idea to pull the lower unit every year or so. The old grease can get gunky and stiff in the housing. Doesn't really take long to do it and you can ensure that everything gets a good cleaning and fresh grease or never seize where needed. Takes less than an hour from start to finish.
