 Re: 23 MPH gdsd
That's pretty good out of a 23hp. I'm looking at buying a rig from a guy this weekend with a 23hp and some mods but he's saying he averages about 20mph with 2 men and gear.

 Re: 23 MPH gdsd
Had about 30min to run before the rain hit...completly empty with a brand new prop was running steady 25mph and bumped 26 a few times. We came to the conclusion that the bottom of the boat is the problem.

 Re: 23 MPH gdsd
That is a bummer man. Hooking a boat is the worst.

 Re: 23 MPH gdsd
I have a 35 gdsd on 1648 and it took me a while to get it dialed in. Load placement is very important. Trim tabs you dont need to bend to much. I get fastest mph when prop is almost trying to come out of water, then trim down a hair, pm me and we can see if we can figure it out

 Re: 23 MPH gdsd
With me alone, 29-30 consistent bumps 31-32 with fresh prop, this past season i had 2 guys, pirogue, decoys and gear running 25-27

 Re: 23 MPH gdsd
X2 - had about same speeds with GD 1648 and 35 GDSD - running a GD 1844 now a bit slower but much better performance in mud with loads....
