Post Need Some Advice
I'm thinkin about gettin a 17/42 Southfork built with .125 slick bottom. Anybody ran one with a 27hp? B4 I spend the $$$$ I want to make sure it's gonna perform and not be a turd.

I am still around just have not been hunting here. Been down the coast the last couple of weeks and hunt mostly LA when I am home. I can only take so much of the crap on the public stuff.

If I was you I would stay away from Southfork Slick bottom boats even the boat the boats with the 1/8" bottom. I was also looking at Southfork slick bottom boats also, but after doing some research on them and talking to a few different owners I decided to stay away the horizontal braced floor system they use in Southfork slick bottom boats. If you can afford it get one custom made or wait until you can find a good used for sale. I had one custom made after I decided against the Southfork Slick bottom. Goodluck and let us know what you decided
