 whats a trailering bracket
maybe im an idiot, but i dont know what you mean by a trailering bracket. ive got a 36hp prodrive and i have bent the control arms twice in a year,i believe, because of trailering with just a tie down strap, but i dont know for sure. if anyone can throw up a pic id like to see what one looks like. if its something that takes the bounce off the motor, i might look into one

 Re: whats a trailering bracket
Dont think they make a bracket for the pd. KP at prodrive says not to tie it down. Just tilt it all the way up and let it ride.

 Re: whats a trailering bracket
I put a strap on mines. I kinda feel the same way you do bout the transom. Just don't put to much pressure on it. Think some people are puttin straps on too tight, thats why kp says just trim it up. I've tried to figure out a way to get a transom saver to work, but haven't played with it enough yet. Just for peace of mind.

 Re: whats a trailering bracket
i just drive. if it needed a 'trailering bracket' i wouldn't of bought it. people who are tearing stuff up are doing it to themselves with a pd. how in the hell do u bend the control arms unless u are doing sumthing really crazy like strapping the engine down to the trailer instead of the boat or sumthing of that nature. or u just can't drive between the ditches. i say this cause i've never heard of this happening before.

 Re: whats a trailering bracket
Just strap your boat to the trailer and drive off.....unless u have a lowride trailer than u need to trim up a little.
I have drug my rig all over tx and have not had a proble. even with the sucky roads between Me and West TX

 Re: whats a trailering bracket
The ProDrives for sure put a beating on the transoms and the Trim! When I had the ProDrive,It tore the trim up Now I just slip my bracket on the GatorTail and no more bouncing It damn sure don't hurt to tied them down guys!!
