I've made some pretty stupid financial decisions in the past, and have just about corrected most of them. I've always paid cash for my toys, because if you get in a bind, they can always go. That being said, with my current situation (everyone's is different)... I've been forced to finance the boat I'm getting here in a couple weeks. so.... to answer the question at hand....
I just got a secured boat loan from a local credit union for 5.3%, took me about 20 minutes and a couple of emails.
