What do you guys think a 15 ft laffayette skiff built by Custom Flat out of St. Benard, LA is worth. The boat is about 4 years old and is in good shape. The owner is asking 2000.00 for the hull and trailer . This will be my first mud rig and I want to make sure I'm headed in the right direction.

i think u need a longer boat.

however,
if u are by urself mostly and don't run loaded alot it would be ok. the price is definately right. ,might be a fun mudrun boat cause it ought to haul azz.


i've seen several people buy a short skiff and go to a competent welder and have 3 or 4' of legnth added to the middle of the boat. might be a option.

same as he said, dont overpower it. make SURE that hull is good too.
find out the width, beam, and it should be welded.

if it 4' wide then i say thats what its worth.
