Anyone shattered there"push/pull" bar on there tilt and trim. The bar the hydro arm hooks to on the lower unit. I hit a stump at WOT and it snapped and then i shat my paints. I was holding on to the motor with all my might thinking i was going to see it sink in 10ft of water. Then i realized there is no way i was holding this mofo up so i let go and limped to the shore. after the shock wor off if grbed a strp and got it up a little a drove to the ramp.

To make a long story short Pec hooked me up with a new beefer bar and i was on my way the next day.

The aluminum 1 1/2 bar Prodrive puts on the lower unit. Its the same bar on every unit no mater what trim you have.

Is it clear a mud now?

If you look at the PD manual it is on page 12. The bar i broke is the one the hydro ram connects to the lower unit with the 3/8 bolt.

Ill get you some pic so you can see what the destruction looked like.

It is the same piece T-MAC broke at MuddyGras and fliped his boat.

James, I had the replacement part laying in my floor board of my truck. I never even thought about it again till I read this thread. After I saw TMacs break I got on for my motor just in case mine ever broke.

For the record, the new one come with the beefier part from the get go.

Yup....same bar that broke on T-macs rig.

I was just joking around no needs for pics. I figured it was the same as what popped on T-macs.

this is what to many WFO stump impacts can do...and yes PD took care of me but i did pay $48 for overnight delivery which I needed to finish the season.
