 Shipping a motor.
Has anyone on here ever shipped a motor? I have a guy who says he'll pay shipping if I will ship it. I'm in MS and he is in Montana. Not sure where to start. Also, Not really sure how to make a secure transaction. Any help would be appreciated. If it's a pain tell me. Thanks.

 Re: Shipping a motor.
Use paypay to receive your payment and use a freight company for the shipping all you have to do is put the motor on a palette and the will come pick it up hope that helps

 Re: Shipping a motor.
When I sold the Suki, I built a crate so it wouldn't get beat in transit. We loaded in my truck and drove it to the UPS Freight (his choice) depot, where they used a forklift to take it out of the truck and weigh it. He paid them directly, so the only money I had to pay out was for the materials I built the crate out of, which he paid me back for.
As far as payment goes, Paypal is definately the best way to go. If you don't want to use Paypal, you can have his bank transfer the money to your bank for a small fee. If you both use the same bank (Wells Fargo, Capital One, etc) they can just transfer the money from their account to yours.

 Re: Shipping a motor.
Yeah have guy pay for all shipping costs and tell him all your willing to do is drop it off... I'd suggest PayPal but make sure funds have been completely transferred. Some transactions take 10 days (just depends upon bank). You can always use a title company and have money held by a 3rd party. Just a thought.

 Re: Shipping a motor.
I placed a listing on uship.com today, but I'm not sure I listed it correctly. I selected non-standard pallet since it will be about 9'L x 2'H x 2' wide. How did you list yours?
