 Re: Led light bars
Very true. I was wanting to keep them all on the same remote but I guess it's not that big of a deal.

 Re: Led light bars
I just like the 12v batteries because it spins so fast. That's also why I'd like to be able to turn it off remotely though.

 Re: Led light bars
UPDATE:
Guys finally hunted last weekend from my boat on a large lake with cypress trees. Light worked great for only being the 6" model combo. Only time I needed another light was to look directly beside me (trying to find where to hide boat). Great light.

 Re: Led light bars
I used mine for the first time this morning and it was great. Cut through the fog well. It did not drain the battery at all. I have mine on its own and all was good.

 Re: Led light bars
Do most of y'all wire the led lights to your cranking battery or an aux battery?

 Re: Led light bars
mine runs off my cranking battery, LED does not pull alot of power so i wouldn't worry about running your batttery down.

 Re: Led light bars
Mine are also on my cranking battery, left them on for an hour while running the trolling motor (different battery) and the motor cranked just fine.

 Re: Led light bars
The only time i use mine for any extended amount of time is running skinny ditches on low tide, but it really never stays on enough to even hurt the batter, i've left my interior lighting nav lights on for hours and came back and bumped key and it fired right up.
Run it off your cranking battery you'lll be fine

My three Duallys total power consumption:
89 watts 6.2 amps
You will be fine running them from a cranking battery

Just got my 10" rigid in and trying to think of a clever way to get the led on the switch not to stay lit all the time besides unwiring it. Any suggestions?

 Re: Led light bars
After my hid lights crapped out last week I decided to spend the extra $$ and get some led's. Got them mounted this evening, they really put out some good light. I went with (1) 6" bar and (2) 2x2 spot.

 Re: Led light bars
I found a site that has waterproof/off road leds cheaper, you still have to come up with your own mounting bracket on some models.

 Re: Led light bars
Since this thread started I put the 3 on my platform and got a 12" for the front. The spot is on the back, the d2 drivers shine each side of the bar from the back. This is left to right ImageUploadedByTapatalk1376100895.947525.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1376100908.691174.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1376100918.541370.jpg

 Re: Led light bars
I'm going to get the rigid 3 light setup for the airboat. Rigid offers a D2 wide. Should I get the D2 driving or the D2 Wides.
If anyone has any input let me know ASAP. I'm ready to press the buy button on Amazon.
