I don't think any of the small coolers keep ice. Not enough space to have enough ice to keep it very cold

DDM, I'm guessing if you put the beer in cold and didn't open it every time you need a new beer, they'd keep ice. I know I don't use small coolers like that though, so it kinda defeats the purpose. I usually just keep the beer I'm drinking in a soft cooler and fill it with ice and cold beer out of a big cooler.

Will, I carry a set too. Ain't much you can't get through with those!

I have an old icytek. It's bout 10yrs old. Looks like hell but I keep it on my welding truck by my machine everyday. It hold ice better than my new Yeti 35.

I have a 400qt frigid rigid(originally a 300qt but I had them add 8" to the top adding the extra 100qt)
320 ssi
90qt k2
65qt yeti
45 qt yeti
& a buddy has a 240 icy tek

Frigid rigids are sweet for a offshore fish box light they hold ice for 6 days offshore seen it and durable
ssi- nice but mine cracked bc being tossed around boats
90 k2- if they made a 300qt id have it, light weight holds ice for a week with no plug in it during the summer but lacks the looks
yeti- it is what it is, looks and preformance but heavy like a mofo, nice for the smaller boxes but ive seen a 480 with ice and its impossible for 2 guys to move.

the icy tek is nice but similar to a frigid rigid, now they do make the biggest box you can but under a leaning post on a center console boat which is a major perk

just to make ice colder and last longer in any chest try the old salt trick, salt the bottom layer of ice and top it'll freeze water bottles or make the whole chunk freeze solid.

I have a 75 QT Yeti. I make my own block ice (bagged ice sucks) approximately 4'' or 5'' thick, X 10'' wide, X 18'' long. I put two intact blocks covering the bottom completely. Put in food and beer then break another block and a half maybe two on top. I did this in 80* weather. After 7 days the blocks on the bottom were still at least 1'' thick. I keep the cooler out of the sun when i can and keep the water drained off. I only pack this way when I will be at my camp for 4 or more days . I'm 18 miles from nearest boat launch so making an ice run sucks.

Nice. Just throwing this out there cause its pretty cool. Pretty sure alot of y'all have seen my burnt up yeti well the top is all warped. But I've been at the hunting camp since Monday had some deer sausage, back strappes, reg drinks and beer. Since I know it didn't seal right just got a rachet strap tighened it don't and set it next to the heater to get nice a warm hoping that it'll kinda melt again a fix the seal. It's helped a little but but still keep the strap on there when not getting beer out. But it still has over half the ice. Pretty nice for a messed up yeti! Btw I don't have a refrigerator or freezer or I'd just use that.
