 Re: Led light bars
Your top bar on the light rack would be an easy place to just wire tie it for the test.

 Re: Led light bars
I was actually thinking place the light bar where the duallys are now and order the tube mounting hardware brackets for the duallys on top bar. I may just do it to see the comparison.

 Re: Led light bars
Mine will be in Monday. I will hook it up and take some photos. I really couldn't figure out how to run wire to the back of my boat for switches and make it look respectable. I got on eBay the other night and found a 4 channel remote control relay. The remote looks just like the one to your car and it ha four separate receivers. I am going to hook one up to the light bar and two of the others up to my mojos. I will post some picks of the setup when I'm finished.

 Re: Led light bars
A 20" bar should out shine, I don't have 20" free space on the front of mine. Comparing the 10" models, the Duallys are better.

 Re: Led light bars
How do the "cheap" LED bars stack up to Rigid? Do they have a light output chart?

 Re: Led light bars
I received my 10" E series light bar today in the mail. It is the flood/spot combo and really has a nice focused beam.
Compared to the D2 Dually
Nice focused beam.
My wiring setup, with the wireless remote relay hooked in.
It works.
Out the back door.
I haven't mounted it to the boat yet but as soon as I do and get to run it I will post a few more pictures.

How do you like those remote relays? How far can they go?

 Re: Led light bars
It is low frequency RF so it should work at least a 100' or more so there shouldn't be any issue within the boat or out to the decoys. I'll do a distance test this afternoon and let you know.

 Re: Led light bars
Wpatter, is that the 4-channel relay? I'd be interested in knowing how well that works too. If it's the same one that I saw on ebay, it's only $42.00. That's pretty damn good considering it takes the place of a switch panel and can be mounted in a dry location. Let me know if it seems quality, please.

 Re: Led light bars
Cooter, these would work fine. Just need to keep everything really dry, which can be hard to do on a boat. The 4ch would work fine too if you need to control 4 devices. You can find them less than 40 bucks though. Just have to make sure they can handle the current or use relays. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem ... 9834023015I use a 6v version for the mojo's when we are using them. Get them for about 14 shipped, much better than 50+ for the one's mojo wants to sell you.

 Re: Led light bars
any one mounted a light bar in the Back of there truck?? say in the topper or under the bumper??
after seeing how much the 10" bars light up I thought a 4" or something like it would be nice for backing the boat up on those SHITTY landing....

They do have some of those flat mount lights that you could mount in the bumper.

 Re: Led light bars
Bad, do you have any thoughts about protecting it? Is it going to be on there all the time? I know they are rock solid lights and have seen the video but for $300 I'm a little nervous having it up there all the time.

 Re: Led light bars
I wired mine to my trolling motor plug, i just bought an extra troll motor plug and wired it to that, easy removal. Really its plug and play. I put the trolling motor on a switch so i can control it from the back whether it be the light or the trolling motor

 Re: Led light bars
Guys, a little while back I said I would post something up about the wireless relay's I put inline with my 10" light bar. Sorry the file is big and the video is sideways but you should get the point across. I'm about 75' away and walking backwards and probably get to about 100' away before I hit my fence. Pretty good distance out of these guys. I bought 4 relays hoping to use them on my mojos but didn't research enough. The mojos are 6V and the relays are 12V only. I though they had a range that would reach down to 6v. I was wrong.

 Re: Led light bars
Why didn't you just put 12v batteries in your mojos? The small ones for burglar alarm panels fit well.

 Re: Led light bars
Do I need to add a 10K resister inline? I read somewhere that is what was needed. I honestly haven't looked into it enough and those batteries i'm sure would work great and I'll see if I can make them work.

Just order the 6v set up. They're like 13 bucks shipped. Cheaper than a battery...
