Post subject:  Aucoin's Custom Fabrication boats
Aucoin's custom fabrication will be going back into the boat building buisness!!!! We had some complications with coastguard rules and regulations a while back and called it quits on the boats for a while to do some investigaition. We have decided to go back full force as before with the boats.

There has been some design changes made to our boats as far as bracing and cosmetics. The skiffs will have a different style crimped side than what you are used to seeing, i think it looks nice and will add strengh to the sides, but the traditional smooth sides will still be a option if wanted.

After some trial and error with the bracing in our hulls, we have found what will work best for all the harsh conditions that we put these mud motor hullls through. We will now be putting 6 longitude ribs on a 48''bottom with 3- 2x2x1/4 structual square tubing running transverse on top of the 6 runners. All bottoms, regardless of 1/8 or 3/16 prefrence will be 5086 marine grade aluminum. We also have a couple of other designs that we are still working on and will announce later when the website gets back up and running in the future.

The website will also be redesigned with hull options and pricing. We are also in the process with tony b on getting our sponsorship with MMT back up!!!!!

awesome news! great to hear that and not that you had to build boats to make a living but I'm sure it makes you happy to know you can still build them! Build your new one and come to caddo!

Well I just think that sucks, I was gonna get rich off that one of a kind Aucoin boat hull I got. I sure hope this don't make the book value go back down to a normal figure.

You boys better put your orders in now, the board is gonna get full quick. Nothing worse than WAITING for your boat hull to get built so get them orders in before the wait.
