 help!...need parts and help...new guy!
I just picked up a Mud Buddy 27hp kohler longtail that is in rough shape....the frame, drive-line, and engine are in good shape but there is a lot of rust, corrosion from saltwater, and general upkeep has been kind of weak...So, i was wondering where online are you guys getting your parts?...I need a new ignition, choke assembly, throttle spring, air filter, spark plugs, oil filter, rectifier, hole in the exhaust, etc....i mean, the list goes on....There is little rust or corrosion on the frame....the transom mount is in rough shape as well....
everything works really well, but the general appearance is what kills me...there's wires with caps on them going to nothing, the kill switch is non existent.
the mud motor thing is new to me, so i'll try to post some pictures of the thing so you guys can get a better idea of where im coming from....
thanks in advance....

Google Mudbuddy and check their site. They should be able to get you what you need. Can get filters, plugs and such pretty much anywhere .

Should be able to find the harder to find parts here: http://www.kohler-engine-parts.opeengines.com/Spark plugs, oil filter, and other general maintenance stuff can be found at your local auto parts store. You can find the specific parts numbers on the kohler website. The parts finder they have is really easy to use.

I hope you don't need a idle mixture screw. You may never get one LOL. It has been 3 weeks and I haven't got one yet.. Briggs has them back ordered. I might just have to buy another stock carb to get it fixed. Good luck on your fix!!!
