I saw the new innovations for the 2011 model motor - stainless exhaust, cdi marine engine, improved reverse system and control box on the tiller, but I was uncertain if all these extras were more than the current advertised price for a 35GTRL, at $6,795.00. Shot Gator-tail an email but didn't know if any of ya'll had the new 2011 with the handle controls and all, and if that was any extra.

that is the new price the old was 6495 i think but mine is going to paint now i saw it the other day they also cut holes in the tail on the lower unit that look somewhat like a mud buddy be able to tell you more in another week or so

I have the 2011 motor. First one I owned so I don't know the differences.

the major change to the reverse is simply the lever used to engage it. The actual reverse itself is unchanged (someone I'm sure will correct me if I'm wrong.) On the new one, the lever gives you a much more positive engagement without having to squeeze as hard. It also has a little tab that allows you to lock it into reverse. It also has a braided steel hydraulic line rather than that plastic crap.

I think they redid the whole brake, not just the lever...

Yeah I talked to Hoyt & Kyle about it its a different caliper design just beefier, upgraded lines. I'll be getting it right after Teal season ends.

It is actually a single piston floating caliper, with a braided stainless line and banjo fittings. The whole set up is different from the master cylinder all the way back.

Waiting on Kyle or Hoyt to call me back now, spoke with the gal in the office (not Lisa) and she said they'd call me. Just wanna make sure before I order that that's what I am getting, at that price. I'm stoked

The price change came with the cdi motor!! All the other stuff is standard now!! The new reverse lever is sweet as hell and matt explained it to the T

dmd im as stoked as you are i almost feel like im gettin a new motor now we can tie a rope to these mofo's and see what happen's.

I really like the engine. Very easy to use and gets the job done. I need to find some people around Houma/Thibodaux that want to go ride in some mud.

Once I find a trolling motor, I'll be using the boat a lot more for fishing.
