Post Re: FINALLY
Well yeah! Boat is A LOT faster now. Forgot to take my gps to get a definet, but my guess is between 17 and 20 mph, so the prop was definetly the issue with speed. I even went down an inch in pitch since I always go loaded down with 3 guys and gear, sob planes at just over idle!

The reliability issue is still there and I am baffled. The motor will stall randomly. Previously it would stall when under heavy load only, i noticed the fuel filter was empty when this occured so i replaced it and the pump. I also purged a lot of really nasty crap from the lines and its all clean and flowing good now. I thought it was fixed but on the ride back to ramp it just shut down while riding about 1/4 throttle. It will start right back up in about 1 min, almost like a vapor lock, but its not vapor lock, the lines dont get hot.

Not sure if you answered this in the earlier thread or not..

But have you checked your complete fuel system from tank to carb? air leak anywhere? ck all connections and fittings (and get rid of fittings if you still have them) Those fitting will go bad... and will cause air leaks....

Also, I know on some motors when you get low in the gas tank (1/4 or less) sometimes you have a problem...... not smart enough to know why, but sure someone on here can tell you...

When you say you replaced fuel pump, did you replace stock? or you running an epump?

Post Re: FINALLY
I did replace it with a stock Honda pump. I havent checked all the lines from head to toe, but if they are that sensitive I'll take your word for it and hook a vacuum pump up to it and see what happens. I would think if fuel cant come out, air cant come in?? Im baffled so I am willing to try anything! Its really weird cause the fuel filter never gets full the way they do on a carbureted auto, it stays about 1/4 or less full, so that just might be it. Doesnt make sense to me, but I am not a physicist.
