 help please with hydro trim
I need a little step by step help from those of you that have replaced hoses on your PD hydro trim unit. I know how to put the hoses on so that is not the help I need.
I have the hoses on. Now what? For example--Should the motor be up or down? How do I get air out of the system when finished? Any and all advice will be appreciated.
Another question. The fluid I purchased was atf dexron 3, is that correct?

Re: help please with hydro trim
Should just be able to work the motor up and down and work out any air. I had to take mine off to have the pump rewired and thats what I did when I reinstalled the pump. You get the PD lines? I need to replace mine. I got a leak in one of the original braided lines.

Re: help please with hydro trim
Yeah I got the lines from Peck. It was a better deal going through them and I figured they know what their motor needs as far as parts go. Plus it was shipped to my door in 2 days and I didn't have to go running all over the place to find what I needed.
So do I need to raise the motor all the way up before filling the pump?

I did it with the motor down on a block of wood to take the pressure off the ram. What did they run you if you dont mind me asking?

Re: help please with hydro trim
I don't have the invoice handy, but I am pretty sure they were $17.50 each plus a few $ shipping---so right at $40.
