So i baught this little 8hp go devil from a man over in louisiana for 300 thinking im going to have alot of work and all, well sure enough i got it home placed it on the boat and she fired right up i got to looking at it and sure enough its got the very first design that go devil did for its props and its made of brass i think you can see how little they have changed it the past at least 15 years. This motor on it is so old that its back when brigs and stratton still had the circle airfliter with the metal thing over it. Im going to get the numbers off the motor and call go devil to see just how old this bad boy is.

I think this one is welded on to because this is going to be the death of me trying to get this thing off the shaft

I was just looking at a small bronze prop that came off an old 5hp we had,its still down in a trapping shed we have. That motor is a little over 20 years old now. Katrina killed the engine but there is nothing wrong with it.

Them bronze props hold up some much longer to like this motor has been running and being used for the last 15 to 20 years as well i would think once i get it off and put a new prop and shaft on that this motor will run so much better seeing how thin these props were back then.

The brass props are keyed and come straight off.
