SERIOUSLY........i heard that the local sherrifs patrol is gonna be out in force this weekend to put a end to this 'muddigras nonsense'.

u don't see the gw or local gestopo when they have the local bar's mullet run or the assmaster bass boys tournaments out in the lake. AND THEY RUN 50-80MPH+++ IN THE BOAT CHANNEL WITHIN 100' OF CAMPS.
hell, they launched a boat into the trees last yr, could of been a camp full of kids. didn't even make the paper. but...a charity event for kids with cancer, with over 400 boats in attendance, on it's 4th yr without any safety incidents makes the front page as a 'drunkfest'.


makes my cajun blood boil ....

WE ALREADY HAD MUDDIGRAS 09, U MISSED IT. WE DIDN'T SACRAFICE ANY VIRGINS, RAPE YOUNG BOYS, KILL THE BASS SPAWN, BLOCK CANALS, MAKE A CLUSTER OF THE LANDING, OR USE ANY LOCAL GOV RESOURCES TO DO IT. WE EVEN PICKED UP TRASH AND LEFT THE PLACE CLEANER THAN WE FOUND IT. AND THE PRECIOUS STATE PARK WAS LEFT UNMOLESTED AS WELL. [they lost out on alot of money too]

Near my house it is them damned street bikes that pass over 100 MPH that is gonna get someone killed. That and the brothas selling drugs, but mostly local po po's get the honest man who is running a few minutes late for work and they give him a speeding ticket.

It's just like everything else. They already got laws in place for the criminals, but they can't catch em, so what do they do?? Go after honest, hard working, law abiding, good citizens trying to blow off a little steam at the end of the work week, maybe even help out some charity in doing so, and the only thing they concentrate on is the easy ticket!! Just like DA said "rant over"

I will say this though, there are some of those guys that are on a super power trip and nobody can do right by them. I have met and been around some super nice enforcement officials and never been hassled if you are doing the right thing. I think it might just be that they have always been exposed to the bad in people and they think that everybody is from the same mold. Just give us a chance guys. You'll see that we aint bad folks!!

New law went into effect this year fellas : if you run any type of tiller handle motor you must be wearing a life vest and have kill switch lanyard attached. Might save yall a ticket and keep Mr. Greenjeans from diggin in yalls wallet. I found out the hard way this weekend and got off with a warning.

If your boat is over 16' wearing the life vest is optional, but a good idea anyway.
