I had not seen this until today. Doesn't make sense to me but the new law states if you were born on or after January 1 1984 you have to take the Safety Boater Course. The previous law was if you were born on or after January 1 1988. |

Yes that has been out to the public for about a year now. I took mine and got my legal requirements for my hull. |

Yeah, just read on the TPWD site they changed to Sept 1, 1984. So he probably needs it over here too. I make it by just over a year

I think its great. I think everybody should have to have some type of safety training. |

I took mine on the internet to. Its not to bad. They let you print a temporary certificate and send you the blue card in the mail. |

Yea me to but I figured the one time They will ask for it I better have it.It's only a 25 dollar fine but might as well get it over with |

So you young ones are saying that you'll need to CHEAT to be able to pass a test about knowing the safety rules of boating? No wonder so many accidents happen. |
