I'm in Freeport Texas right now, gonna be back tomorrow sometime.

There is a coding problem from an auto resize mod I installed that didn't work. I think that's what's causing the problem.

I'll address these things when I get back.

Thanks for your patience fellas, I appreciate it.

Ok folks, looks like I fixed the photo problem.

It even works on larger sized pics linked from other places like photobucket, but try to keep the size to 625 max width to keep the page from spreading.

Also, the upload a pic works as well. make sure that after you upload the pic that you select "place inline" and that will put you pic in the post as a thumbnail and when you click on it, bam! you get the full picture.

Have fun with it!

The copy paste works great.

Don't see upload pic/place inline functions anywhere tho.

It's the file attachment feature, you browse to your picture then upload it, then select put inline (or something like that.)

Works wonderful like dat.

Hell I cannot figure it either, except for the direct link in the browser and it requires me to resize my picture.

You can copy and paste the images URL into your message as long as the pic is 650 pixels wide.

When you upload the pic, (making sure it's 650 wide) select the "place inline" opion and it puts the image in the post itself.

Well, I got my avatar to work. Now let's try this:

It didn't work. Something isn't right. MitchV's picture above shows to be 799 wide :?:

I think the easiest way to post pics for everyone is to use the attachment feature. All you have to to is browse to the pic you want, select add the file, then when it finishes uploading, select "place inline".

This will put it in a nice thumbnail like this one below. Then when you click on it, it will open in a new window with the fullsize image.

Here's a pic that was grabbed off the GT forum. I simply copied the image location and pasted in the post.

Tony, I upload the picture and still don't see the "place inline". Sorry, but just want to figure it out. Thanks.

My bad, gave wrong location.

It appears right at the bottom of the post text area, to the right of the attachments title.

It just seems like a pain in the ass... I liked the auto resize too. So why wont the site auto resize the pictures like the old site did??

I give up on my avatar. The new site wins. Thats all.

Post subject:  Re: Hey Tony? Posting Pictures

I will be looking out for a good pic resize mod.

It's tricky working with these mods as you have to manually install them and things could get messed up if something isn't right.

That and this is the latest version of this board and it takes time for folks to come up with mods.

I just copied the image code from Photobucket and pasted it. Since then I have tried with both the full size and resized ones with no results on this site.
