Thinking about installing boat stereo in my Pro-Drive Boat. I am considering mounting radio and speakers in the metal stoarge box that I use as a seat. Any other ideas or suggestions? Anyone have a picture of their install? |

I can give you 2 options. One is an Ice Chest radio. That way it makes it alot more portable. I started with an ice chest radio. Then I decided that I wanted something permanent. So I mounted the raido in the side flotation pod on my Go Devil. I also mounted 2 speakers in those pods. I then mounted the other 2 speakers in the storage boxes. The speakers in the rear of the boat face towards the inside of the boat. The ones in the storage boxes face towards the bow. For both setups, I used the Pyle kit from Academy. It has the radio, waterproof cover and 4 speakers all for $100. |

I did the ice chest radio first, but since my boat already has box seats there really wasn't a good place to put it. Last weekend, I installed the radio and two of the speakers in the middle box seat and the other two speakers in the front deck facing back. I'll get photos. I also used the Pyle system off of eBay. |

Ya'll must not do anything but ride around in your boats, that thing would be fukked up the first time out in mine. ![]() I could already see mud in all the buttons, and the end of the shove pole through a speaker. Radios are for cars. |

Those 100 dollar combo's are garbage. Let me know if you want pics of an audio pipe. It is small and loud as crap. I have 2 alpine 6.5 in mine and they scream and dont talk up much space. Ice chest radio just takes up alot of space. |

I have 2 of the $100 Pyle radios. I've had no problems with them. As far as hearing them when running, with the ice chest radio I could hear it if it was facing the rear of the boat. With the one I have mounted, I can't really hear it while running. But, its mostly because i have no speakers facing the rear of the boat. |
