ok so i called a store in marshall and they have all there prodrive boats sold before they even get to the store .... and want a ridiculous price on them. i would consider another brand now because im running out of time. at first i was looking at a 1754 with a 36 pd w/ manual reverse. (this is still first choice) but where i live we have a go devil dealer. i looked at there boat and liked them but have some questions. i had a kid show me around the place and he didnt know some of the things i was asking. questions 1. does the godevil 35hp sd have a clutch? 2. does the godevil have any major flaws in there designs? 3. are they easy to work on? 4. they are asking over $1700 for just the trailor(16X60 alum), is that about right or am i getting ripped off? thanks guys Ray |

good quality mud boats are all hand crafted and welded, not popped out like an Xpress or War Eagle, plus they are made out usually thicker material and offer more options plus they are made to order. Most southern boat mfg have to try and pay welders near what a good welder can earn from a a much larger company with much deeper pockets. Waiting to the last minute to get one isnt the smartest thing to do either. |

they have no nuetral (clutch) or reverse there isnt much to work on, just a pump of grease and a new belt everynow and then. They are a good solid motor. yes, that trailer sounds about right. If you had your heart set on a PD then just wait and get one so you arent always wonderin "what if". Reverse and nuetral are nice but some can live without it. |

Just remember if you buy something that you really do not want because you waited too long you will take a beating when you try and sell it. IMO wait and get what you want. |
