Post subject: | War Eagle boat with mud motor QUESTION? |
I just bought a 1754 war eagle and fixin to put 35 or bigger gtr or something similiar on it. I am trying to distribute the weight. I have two trolling motor batteries, one big motor battery and a twelve gallon gas tank. Any advice on how to set boat up? Also with a new surface drive is the ass end gonna be to heavy to get me on plane good or do I have enough boat length to compensate? I havent bought a motor yet so need advice before dropping the money on one. Also selling the hull is not an option since I just bought it. Just give it to me straight. Thanks |

u got plenty of length to get on plane for a 35. i had both my batteries up front at first and ended up moving one to the back of the boat to help a little bit. thats gonna be alot of weight up front with 2 batteries and 12 gallons of gas. your prolly gonna have to play with it once u get it to tweak it out just right. that motor should run pretty good on there if not u can always add to it later |

best advice would be to take the boat and test drive it with a 35 mm on it before you buy it or take anyones opinions if it will float or run like you want. Any good mm dealer should let you do this no problem. You might also check our Review Forum for a similar set up review. |

you will have enough length for it to plane out, but like mud slinger said you really need to test drive with it on the boat to so he it will perform |
