IF reverse is such a big deal than y aint all the companys that offer it make it standard own there motors. I aint puting down reverse or saying its the best . Just putting it out there thats all. Happy hunting and fishing to all.

If u dont ask u never learn nothing. They already have neutral aint that big of a step to reverse is it? That means that they already have a clutch in place. Y does it cost that much more for reverse? Not trying to start a 10 or 11 page my is better than your but mine is more reliable, but mine looks better crap. I am purely asking a logical question a about why it cost so much, but i do like the shirt they should send them out when u become a member here.

Gator tail reverse is a "standard" feature. All of them are built with reverse unless you "special order" it without. I believe pro-drive is the same.

Live in TN not many mud motors here dont get 2 go and ride in a pro-drive or gatortail, manly longtails. which i have been runing for a year or so, and iam about 2 spend several thousand own a mm and i find myself trying 2 figure out what is what. Mainly stumps and logs, and pads. so far iam sticking with a 35lt but i find myself asking is a short shaft worth the money and if so is reverse worth the extra for me.

g-devil i remember back when i was 16 or so running a gdlt telling my podnahs i didnt need a reverse because they all had put puts. and i didnt need a reverse. until i had one. its kinda like when ur a lil boy and u think girls r gross....u can live without it until u smash for the first time.

I'll NEVER go without it again! We all had longtails at one time and we all said reverse is not needed.....but once you have it, you will say to yourself "how was ever so stupid"..seriously. If you can afford it, I would get it! You will not regret it!

Well soUnds like i b trying 2 get one with reverse than think there is a prodrive dealers a few hours away ill call them and c what they can do, What yall think i have 2 spend 2 get a 35hp prodrive or gatortail? WITH REVERSE

Prodrives reverse has nothing to do with its clutch.

GT reverse is 800$ and the PD is 475$

a 36 PD with power trim, neutral, reverse, longshaft is $6470
a 35 GT with power trim, neutral, reverse, longshaft is $6795

Tall transom GTR will run you somewhere around $6800.00 with a 2 year warranty on the actual engine along with a lifetime drive belt warranty.

Well by looking around my 1656gd boat will handle ether fine. Least thats what i get out of what i read own here. Any thing i need 2 know about running one of these, all i have had been a longtail.
