Anyone ever run: 18 x 40 GT with 35 GTR
the hull is a 18x40, I believe it has 16" sides with 20" transom. I was wondering if anyone has run a 35 gtr (or similiar engine) on this skinny and short sided of a hull?
Currently has 23 gtr on it- there is a weight difference of about 60-70 lbs from 35hp to 23hp.

prob gonna be a lil tougher to drive in the narrows, being so narrow the a$s end is gonna drop. better control of the boat yes, but also harder to drive.

I personally have owned an 18'x42" custom built bateau wit a 35 GTR wit low sides and high transome, and I can tell you da only drawback is not enough space for haulin large loads when goin to da camp. Other than dat it was a badass rig.
