 removing arp bolts
my connecting rods im trying to put up for sale have ARP bolts in them, the heads of the bolts look like a star wrench. i have the sockets for star head bolts, but these have about twice as many points on them. does anyone know what type of wrench removes these bolts? i feel ridiculous having to ask such a question, but even arp website says nothing about it.

 Re: removing arp bolts
Buy a socket with 12 points instead of six points. Actually, you probably have the correct socket already. I thought the same thing when I came across a bolt like that for the first time. Don't rag the fella, we all had to learn that at one time. Just some earlier than others.

 Re: removing arp bolts
i have twelve point sockets, hundreds of em, it would take a seriously thin wall socket to fit between the bolt head and the rod. thats why i thought i had the wrong wrench.
