 PD electrical issues
My 2007 PD has a grounding issue. I first noticed it a few weeks ago when I was letting the engine warm up before leaving the ramp. There was a spark that was being generated from the aluminum mounting panels to where the engine bracket is on the boat. It only happened when the engine was turned all the way to one side and the two touched.
My hunting buddy noticed the same spark on the bow of the boat this past weekend. It was happening on the light bracket and the bow of the boat. Needless to say my fuse on the lights keeps bustin and I cant keep the damn lights on for more than 10 minutes.
any suggestions on past experience would be great.

 Re: PD electrical issues
Did you add any lights to the boat. All your grounds need to go to battery.Do not use the boat hull as a ground.

 Re: PD electrical issues
We found it.....I added a new set of bow lights late last year, and all along I was having issues with the fuse. I redid the wiring up to the front and added some conduit to keep the wiring out of the water.
It ended up being that the new lights were grounded to the outer metal cover and that metal cover was touching the PD light box. once we figured that out it was a easy fix!
