1st post currently have 25 Johnson on this boat and want to move to SD . Please advise best size and brand suggestion

HP, brand, what are you askin?

A war eagle hull wont perform nearly as good as a real slickbottom hull with a mudmotor.

a 23 would push it pretty good. probally alot like the johnson. dont know if it would float a 35. if its not a 20 " boat i dont think ide even try it.

asking HP and Brand . Just bought this Boat this year before I knew about mud motors and SD motors

any of the brands are good choices. it depends what you need it to do. if you need reverse you will be looking at prodrive or gator tail. if you only need neutral then mud buddy. if you can get by with out neutral then mud buddy or go devil. a mb mini lite is the lightest option and it can be had with or w/o neutral. the go devil is direct drive= no neutral. the pd and gtr have neutral and reverse. not sure on weight but i would think gd pd and gtr are about the same. you just need to see what you need it to do. also if you have a dealer near you, thats a plus. ide say a 23-27 hp will be about where you need to be. they are all going to preform about the same.
