 need to know
i found a 16 50 all welded boat and want to put prodrive on it . i have a 27 short shaft but will have to convert to long transom. open hull and and front deck with built in ten gallon gas tank . i would like to know what speeds yall gitting with the same setup and what bout three people in it will it get on plane?

Id say it will get on plane but thats about it, lots of varibles on the weights of the people and stuff you got.

i say about 2 people r 225 and ima a big boy about 300

Problem is the other stuff involved to fish or hunt also adds some weight too.
My 27 will push 1200 lbs (including boat) at about 19mph - but anymore and it can not get past 15 mph where she starts planeing.
So for me, boat with gas at 450lbs - 2 guys at 225 + 200 misc crap = 1100
If your boat is heavier or you bring much stuff --- your gonna be at that point where she might not get up and on step.
