clean the rust off. coarse steel wool might work. wrap enough steel wool around a drill bit to create a somewhat snug fit in the hub of the prop. then let the drill do the work.

fyi - I don't have a surface drive and don't know how the prop attaches to the shaft on a gdsd, but just trying to give you some ideas.

are you trying to remove the prop or put it on?

you might have to heat the hub of the prop up w/ a tourch the pretty much just beat it off w/ a hammer . Then put a lot of never seize/pipe dope/copper kote then screw the new prop on after the threads are clean w/ a wire brush the never-seize is on.

good luck

Was just thinking that Garrett, had to do it to my old LT but it was the only way to get the prop off, ended up replacing seals. I always use to pull the prop off and clean it about every 4-6 runs jsut to keep it clean

may have to fab a piece of alum 3''x1/2''x3' with hole big enough to go over shaft at the end and bind it against prop to unscrew it. works for prodrive
