I am in bad tax bracket myself. Since Obama passed these healthcare and other stuff, my insurance for family is $780/month, i cannot claim my son and get the child tax deduction next year because he will be 17, huh? 17 is a minor why is this. So should I make him quit school at 17 and go to work???? Is that what Obama wants? But all these low income get earned income credit, fuckers get more tax money back then they pay????WTF Where does this extra money come from, hummm US the hard working people. Sounds kinda socialist crap to me. Take from the middle and upper class give to the lower class. this is not a republican or democrat probelm it is an AMERICAN problem!!

You want a hand out? People that work hard and make money shouldn't have more of it taken away! I know a chick on welfare and food stamps that got back 4000 more than me on taxes and is spending it on fake boobs instead of putting it toward child care, food, or something important! Do you think that people like that should get more money than hard working people?

I saw a lecture and a question and answer session last night at Harvard Law School. First, you talk about the brain trust in that room....my god!!! An interesting point was made by one professor who described the Republican explanations for their concept of what the American concept of economics should be, as "metaphorical economics". Which basically says, we really don't know why trickle down economics works, but here's a good story of what happened one time.

See how much she'd charge you to let you play with them. Tell her you should get a good discount, being that YOU paid for them and all.. By the way, those are the exact people I'm talking about...That 4g's would have made a hefty dent in the day care bill for a year.

One of the charts shows the top 10 richest members of congress. 70% (7) are democrats. Isn't that interesting.

You have a whole party that continues to "bash the rich" as they themselves get richer on the backs of the very people they profess to be helping. It is called pimping the poor and it is the Democrats MO. They continue to tell the poor how "bad the rich Republicans are" and they are fools to vote for them while stealing everything they can get their hands on.

I don't fathom myself as a staunch Republican but more of an independent so I am not trying to defend anything here. Just pointing out the Hypocrisy of the Democratic Party.

One party believes in telling everyone that rich people are bad, and vote for us and we will take care of you.

The other party believes in giving everyone an opportunity to work hard and make something of themselves.

That is what I call a no-brainer in deciding who I want to align myself with.

I still remember the video footage after the last presidential election of people saying "now that we got Obama elected, we won't have to pay our mortgage". Really? That is the party that you align yourself with? One that ran a campaign that left people feeling that way.


That is all I have to say on the matter.

If you have the will to work and better your life you can! I have only been out of high school 5 years, no college and doing better than 90 percent of America from what your chart shows! Our whole government is screwed up! Doesn't have anything to do with what party u r for! They could have fixed the economy easily but they don't make money that way!

You know, I believe if it weren't for racism and the abortion issue, the vast majority of Americans would be Democrats. But as long as we have those wedges, all of America will suffer. We saw a shinning light when Obama was elected, but the wedge is getting hit harder than ever right now.

I did not know the 17 year old dependant tax code. Just was told this year.
So I will use my American right and stop typing on political ideas and views, because I for one did not vote in 23 years, so I have no say in anything, I shall vote from now on. I cannot complain because i have not practice my right to vote.

They could have paid off every mortgage in the nation 3 times as cheap and stimulated the economy by nobody having a house payment but they gave money to the banks! Gave money to car companies that had poor business practices but have multiple million dollar making CEOs but they will repo your truck if u don't make a payment. They try to give everyone health care which will lower health standards( who would want to go to school that long and not make good money) though even before if someone was sick they couldn't be turned down for medical care anyways! Doesn't make any sense to me....

Americans are greedy and that greed is going to push America the way of Rome. I just love class warfare. Why cant the rich be rich? Why cant they get richer? What is wrong with people making millions on their ideas. What is wrong with people being poor? Why do republicans give so much more to charities than democrats. There are rich democrats just like there are rich republicans. Who decides when you are rich enough? Why cant i just come take what you have since you are richer and that is "unfair" to those that are poor? Why cant i get rich off someone elses misfortune (like lawyers do) Maybe we should make lawyers public servants and set their saleries at a level equal to that of a school counselor? Why dont we tax everyone? Rich people make me money, poor people cost me money. Why does college cost so much. If most college students used the money they spend in college towards starting a business there would not be so many poor college grads.

Neither side of the aisle gives a rats azz anymore. your supposed to run for public office to serve your country, just like when you join the service. I'll bet you would be amazed at how hard some of those lazy @ssholes would work if we didn't give them everything they need to survive. If your such a bleeding heart democrat...why don't you be a good little liberal and invite a couple poor old ninjas to come on your boat ride this weekend. Spread the wealth!!...they can't afford the boat. But you make good money, so you should buy them gas, food, and take them for a boat ride. Everyone deserves a piece of pie right? Afterall, they all think they arrived in this country on a wooden boat, maybe you can take them back on yours.

Easy. Drilling. Drill here and drill now. It'll boost our economy by creating a huge mess of jobs and lowering gas prices. We're sitting on a ton of oil and natural gas in this country. More than they have in the Middle East by a large margin. This is all confirmed by independents and by the Department of Energy. These hippies on the left need to realize a few things.

A. There is no alternate energy source as cheap, clean, or effective as petroleum.
B. There is no animal or plant on this Earth that should be valued higher than the quality of life of an entire country.
C. We are at the mercy of OPEC to sustain our way of life, instead of being independently sufficient.
D. Oil and gas companies are not the devil, nor is anyone who runs a business and turns a profit.
